3. Strict Prohibition on Bypassing Network Filters and Accessing Blocked Content

You explicitly agree NOT to use this Service to:

a. Bypass, circumvent, or attempt to bypass or circumvent technological protection measures, filtering systems, or access controls implemented by your network provider (such as the NYCDOE).
b. Access or attempt to access websites, content, or services that are blocked or filtered by your network provider (such as the NYCDOE).
c. Obscure your online activity in an attempt to hide violations of your network provider's policies.

Violation of this section is a serious breach of these Terms and may lead to immediate termination of access and potential consequences under your network provider's policies.

4. Permitted Use (Conditional)

Conditional upon strict adherence to all other terms herein and your applicable network policies (like the NYCDOE IAUP), this Service may potentially be used for purposes aligned with legitimate educational or research goals only if such use does not otherwise violate these Terms or your network's policies, particularly the prohibitions against bypassing filters or accessing blocked content. The responsibility for determining if such use is compliant rests entirely with you. Accessing content deemed non-educational, inappropriate, or resource-intensive by your network provider (like the NYCDOE) is prohibited through this Service when using their network.

5. General Prohibited Activities

In addition to the specific prohibitions above, you agree not to use this Service for any of the following purposes:

a. Engaging in any illegal or unlawful activities.
b. Accessing, transmitting, or distributing content that is profane, lewd, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, threatening, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, hateful, defamatory, or advocates illegal acts.

6. No Expectation of Privacy from Network Provider

While using this Service, you acknowledge that your network provider (such as the NYCDOE) may monitor your internet activity according to their policies. This Service does not and cannot provide privacy or anonymity from your network provider's monitoring systems. The NYCDOE IAUP explicitly states users have no right to privacy while using Department Internet Systems.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

This Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or quality of information accessed through the Service.
